8 Runner Betfair Win Markets UK Horse Racing
8 Runner Betfair Win Markets UK Horse Racing An Opinion
Why I like These Betfair Markets
Quite simply I call these the dead 8 runners!
In other words these horse races have a minimum of 8 runners.
Here we use the Betfair 3/4 place markets that can be potential gold mines and I will explain why.
My style of trading/betting is to look at the top 3 or 4 in the Betfair win market and the the bottom 3 or 4 in this market for a handicap or group race.
I am not interested in maidens/condition or listed races as newcomers etc. spoil the party.
I like class 5 or 6 grades, these being the lower class handicap races because they meet the requirements above in terms of Betfair decimal odds.
Well what have I actually stated here? not really a lot but I will continue and hopefully it will be clearer.
We will first look at the bottom of a handicap UK race and hypothetically we have identified a horse that is decimal odds of 20.0.
Now hold on, we think this horse has a good chance of winning but in theory it has a 5% implied probability chance. So the odds are stacked against us. So we allocate 25% of our say £100 total stake on the win Betfair market.
We now focus our attention to the Betfair 3 or 4 place market and aim for 4 places always when they occur. We allocate the remaining 75% stake on this place market.
* Do not take 2 places! If 3 and 4 places are not available, then no bet on this race.
We look for decimal odds no less than 2.88.
The Magic Sauce Moment!
Rule 1. Look for races that have greater than or equal to 8 runners and less than or equal to 10 runners. 8 Runners are the golden nugget seams!
Rule 2. Try to identify races where the bottom runner of the win market is greater than or equal to 40.0 as we really discount this runner and will take us to 7 runners and more chance of a place.
I hope you have enjoyed this, one last thing try and obtain higher decimal odds on the exchange either pre-race off or in-play!
This is a good and simple strategy so give it a try with small stakes to begin with.
Good Luck!
